During the week of June 5, 2026 the Virginia Department of Health released their findings from a year long childhood cancer study in Scott County, VA and has determined there is no cluster. The study conducted by VDH includes cases from 2015 -2024. Despite this questionable time period we still have more than 15 cases of childhood cancer reported between those years which more than qualifies as a cluster. News 5 WCYB has the story.
