Camp Lejeune Justice Act Passes

Jerry Ensminger is a retired Marine who was stationed at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. After the passing of his daughter in the 80s from cancer caused by contaminated water on the base Jerry began fighting for the justice of former and present military members and their families stationed at Camp Lejeune. In 2012 President Obama signed into law the Janey Ensminger Act which allows non-military family members to apply for VA benefits for healthcare related to exposure to toxins on the base. On June 16th, 2022 the Camp Lejeune Justice Act Passed, allowing those exposed to contamination on the base to exercise their constitutional right for legal action against the federal government.
